Welcome!
My name is Rob Hookey and I am a Waanyi, Ngadjon (Australian First Nations) man from Bindal and Wulgurukaba Country (Townsville, Australia) and I currently reside on Gadigal Land (Sydney, Australia).
Growing up I was always creative and loved the mental and emotional processes that takes place when creating art.
I have always enjoyed fashion. When I was a child I would go to my Grandmother's house and read her magazines and note the angles of the photos and the different silhouettes fashion houses used to design their pieces. I believe it was this early exposure to fashion that inspired me to do the work I do now; editorials and campaigns for magazines.
Since beginning my photography journey, I have worked with fashion labels such as Camila, Liandra Swim, department stores David Jones and The Iconic, and publications GQ Australia and 10 Magazine Australia.
I look forward to what the future holds and the photos yet to be created.
